I entered this wee little painting along with two other pieces in the Five x Seven Exhibition at the Arthouse at the Jones Center. The Arthouse is located in downtown Austin, TX and holds this fundraising event every year. The artist signatures are on the back of each piece so they are anonymous and all pieces are sold for $150.00 It was a beautiful Austin night (sleeveless attire was possible, even on the spectacular rooftop) and artists and art-lovers were out in droves. As in typical Austin style, there was a live band and yummy nibbles. There were over 1,000 pieces of art on display. I was very excited to see that with approximately 10% of the pieces sold, my Lace'em Up Blues was one of them. The show will be up until June 12th.
Love the shadows on this one! Beautiful painting, and cute sneakers! Sounds like a very fun event, wish that I was there!
