About the Painting

So, as part of my preparation for the 30 Paintings in 30 Day Challenge  I went  through my picture library to find some images I thought I would like to paint.  Now I took this pic a million years ago at the Butterfly Garden at the Wildseed Farm right outside of Fredericksburg, TX.  If you have never been, it's worth stopping.  Anywho, I clearly remember when I took this.  I was observing the gorgeous colors of this butterfly and then lo and behold it landed on the cute little garden Angel who was sitting on some rocks.  It really looked like to me the butterfly and the Angel were having a good ole' conversation. The butterfly was also kind enough to stay long enough for me to take my photo.  Anywho-who, every time I look through my images I think I should paint that, but then something always stops me. Thoughts like; "It's too hard. How do I paint the background?  It's not a good combination of colors." Needless to say this did not make the cut. But then poof, something happened.

Yesterday morning, as I was doing my morning mediation practice I had the most incredible experience of being visited by an Angel. Yep, you read right, I said I experienced an Angel.  It was so powerful it rocked my world for many hours. If any of you have experienced this before you know that there  are not earthly words to describe it.  I was filled with Awe to say the least.

After I came back down to earth, my thoughts went to hmmm… what should I paint today?  I bet you can guess what painting came to mind. Te he he
