Here is the finished painting. I posted the upper left hand corner last time and many people commented -"it looks done to me". What a wonderful compliment that just a little piece could stand alone as it's own painting. The muse of this piece - the sunflowers were picked last summer along the road by my house. I brought them home and tried many poses for the little buggers, but they just wouldn't behave. What I had envisioned was for all their bright little faces to stand in perfect attention to me, the photographer, but no, they had another idea. It is as though they are looking for the sun after I had plucked them from their environment. Come to find out perfect is always best. I really like the haphazard way they are flopping around the vase.
Fabulous!! Love seeing your work in progress. Amazing that you know how it will look when finished and that your process involves completing it from one side to another. You are the master!
