Why?

I often get the question, why do you paint shoes?  I'm not a huge shoe fanatic, I don't have dozen and dozens of shoes, I do like pretty shoes, but...so, I then began to ask myself; "why do I paint shoes so often?" The short answer is... God told me to, no I did not get visited by angels, however...
The long answer: I can remember painting my first shoe portrait. When I was done, I thought, "WOW that was fun "and other people's reaction's were, "WOW that is a fun subject".  Then I painted shoes again-yep just as fun as the first time and yep got the same reaction from others. It was as though they could feel my excitement through the painting. Each and every time I paint shoes I get such a kick out of it(no pun intended, well maybe). I feel super enthused, happy and the ideas flow so effortlessly. I heard once that enthusiasm is God's joy running through you. This is why I say it was a message from God. The energy I felt was the signal to me that I was hooked up to source.
I often hear people say I don't know what to paint. I would say stop and ask yourself what have you painted that when you get done you feel excited about it, it was easy, you were in a groove and you can't wait to paint again. What do you paint that makes you feel that way? And if your not an Artist, what is it that you do that when your done you can't wait to do it again.

Was listening to my favorite music and the colors came to me in a dream or early morning inspiration a couple of weeks prior. Was so fun to "execute" the idea in a fun, fast and exciting way. You are certainly inspired and inspiring others with your fantastic paintings and sweet subjects and helpful posts! xoxo
