About the Painting
I love these little Sunflowers that grow on the side of the road near my house. After I plucked them, I was scratching my head of what to put with them to make a nice composition. It's funny how when something is right in front of your nose and you never see it. This little blue vase sits in my studio and is usually filled with some of my paint brushes. It felt like a little gift when I finally saw it. I thought great, the blue would set the yellow off really nice and it would be easy to paint. NOT! I was right that it set off the yellow though. One out of two isn't bad.
